Presbyterian Church

Sundays at the Pres
Join us Sundays at 9:30 AM for engaging worship, life-changing preaching, and warm fellowship for the whole family.

Kids & Families
We want you and your family to feel welcome and to be able to engage in worship in a way that resonates with every age group. When you arrive, you can meet our children's director, Ruthy Gallo, in the entryway. Babies and toddlers can check in at the nursery in the office building in front of the Sanctuary. Partway through the service, kids ages K-5th will be invited to join Sunday school. Parents are welcome to keep their kids with them through the whole service or accompany their kids along with Ruthy and the team– whatever is most comfortable! Following the services, families with K-5th kids in Sunday School will pick them up at the Gym (building to the right of the sanctuary). We realize attending church as a family can be a big step, so we are here to support any way we can along the way!

Worship Service
Our worship services are planned to exalt God, encourage the church, and reach out to those who have not yet encountered the grace and truth found in Jesus. Services run around 75 minutes long and include singing, Scripture, prayers, greeting, giving, and a message. The progression of the service is meant to shape and strengthen our faith in the Gospel– the good news that, though we are sinners, God has saved us and made us part of his family through the person and work of Jesus Christ.
We believe that worship is a team sport! So, everyone is welcome to sing along with the songs and engage their hearts in the prayers and preaching. Come as you are and you can be sure to be welcomed by those around you in the pews. Pro tip for families: It can be helpful to arrive a little early to get your kids checked in so that you get to enjoy the beginning of the service without feeling rushed!

After-Service Fellowship
Following the service, if you are new, you can meet Pastor Gunnar in the entryway. He would be happy to answer any questions you have about the church. There are also pamphlets and other resources in the lobby you may want to pick up. Then, be sure to join us at the Holy Grounds cafe (the building to the left of the sanctuary) for coffee, pastries, and a time of fellowship. We have a loving community here at SYVPC and we would love to welcome you!
